Link your server
Three values in config.yml, one restart, and your Minecraft server talks to UTP Connect.
Updated 22 October 2026
Fill in config.yml#
On your Minecraft server, open plugins/UltimateThemePark/config.yml. It holds three values:
license-key: "UTP-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"
connect:
url: "https://connect.my-park.example"
secret: ""
Replace them with yours:
| Value | Where to find it |
|---|---|
license-key | In your purchase e-mail, and in your account |
url | The address of your UTP Connect, with https:// — for example https://connect.your-park.com |
secret | The link secret the installer showed at the end — see Install UTP Connect |
The installer printed both url and secret, ready to copy. To see them again, type utp-connect on your VPS and choose Show the address and the link secret.
Keep the quotation marks around each value. For example:
license-key: "UTP-7KQ2M-X9PLR-4HWZT-C8NVA"
connect:
url: "https://connect.your-park.com"
secret: "kP3vN8…9xQ"
Save the file and restart your Minecraft server. (There's no reload command: a restart is needed after you change this file. You'll rarely touch it again — everything else is set on the web page.)
Check that it works#
In the console, a few seconds after the start, you should see:
[UltimateThemePark] [net] connected to https://connect.your-park.com
[UltimateThemePark] [license] activated (updates until …)
In the game, type /utp status. It should say Link: established and your license active.
If it doesn't, see Troubleshooting — the console always says why.
Open your administration#
UTP Connect has no password. Instead, you get in from the game:
- Type
/utp admin. - Click the link that appears in the chat. It opens the administration in your browser.
The link works once, for five minutes. After that, you stay signed in as long as you keep using the administration: eight hours without using it, or a day at most, sign you out. Then type /utp admin again.
Only players with the utp.admin permission get a link — by default, server operators. To let someone else in without making them an operator, give them the permission with your permissions plugin, for example with LuckPerms:
/lp user Alex permission set utp.admin true
A tour of the administration#
The home page should now say Minecraft server connected. Across the top, you'll find:
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Overview | The link's state, and your park's attendance: laps per day, most ridden rides, top riders |
| Rides | Create your rides and set their gates, effects, photo and boards |
| Regions | Choose which music plays in which area of the park |
| Sequences | Build shows: effects on cue, with or without music |
| Media library | The list of your music tracks |
| Settings | Your park's name, colours, logo, language and a few behaviours |
Every change you save reaches the game at once. You never need to restart your server for it.
Next step: Make it yours.
