Your license
One server at a time, what happens when our service is offline, updates, your free address, the Customer role on Discord, and moving to another server.

A lifetime license#
You pay once, and your license never expires. It includes one year of updates. After that, every version released before the end of your period keeps working, for as long as you like. To get newer versions, extend your updates by a year from your account — whenever you want, with no automatic renewal.
One server at a time#
Your key goes in config.yml. When your server starts, the plugin checks it with our service, then again once a day.
A license runs on one server at a time. If you start another server with the same key, it takes over, and the first one stops at its next check. You get an e-mail when that happens. From your account, you can see which server holds your license, and free it.
A free address#
Each license comes with a free address for your UTP Connect, such as expedition-island.utpmc.site, for when you have no domain of your own. You create it, point it to another VPS, or delete it from your account — see Your free address.
If our service is unreachable#
Your park keeps running. The plugin remembers its last check and carries on for thirty days without us. Players with utp.admin are told when they join, and the console shows how many days are left.
On a server's very first start, before any check has succeeded, the plugin waits for our service for an hour, then stops. Restart the server once it can reach the internet.
If someone else has seen your key#
Your key is what activates the license: anyone who reads it — in a screenshot, or a config.yml pasted to ask for help — can start a server with it and take your license away. Never share it; when you ask for help, remove it first.
If it has been seen, open your account and choose Replace key. The old key stops working at once, and the server using the license stops at its next check (within 24 hours). Put the new key in config.yml and restart your server.
When the plugin stops#
The plugin stops straight away — with the reason in the console and in the chat for admins — in these cases:

After fixing the cause, restart the server.
The Customer role on Discord#
Link your Discord account from your account — Link Discord — and you get the Customer role on our Discord within a minute or two. If you aren't on the server yet, join it: the role follows. On Discord, /customer gives you the same button.
The role goes with your license: linking another Discord account moves it there, and unlinking takes it back.
Moving to another server#
- Install the plugin on the new server (a fresh install — don't copy the whole plugin folder).
- Put your key, your UTP Connect address and your link secret in its
config.yml, as in Link your server. - Start it. It takes over the license, and the old server stops.
