Leaderboards and photo walls
Item frames in your park that show a ride's top riders, or the latest on-ride photos with a QR code.
Updated 12 October 2026
A board is a wall of item frames that shows something live. There are two kinds:
- Top riders — the guests who rode an attraction the most. Each guest sees their own place on it: "you are twelfth".
- Photo wall — the latest on-ride photos, newest at the top, like the screens at the exit of a real ride. Each row has a QR code that opens that train's photos on a phone.
Hang the frames#
- Build your wall, and hang item frames on it (empty ones).
- A leaderboard is one frame.
- A photo wall is a rectangle of frames, up to 16 by 16. Each row of frames shows one train's photos. For a wall of the last five trains, with the QR code and three photos each, hang 4 frames across and 5 down.
- Look at one of the frames — from less than six blocks away — and type:
/utp board create leaderboard 7
or, for a photo wall:
/utp board create photos 7
(with your ride's number). For a photo wall, the plugin finds the whole rectangle on its own from the frame you are looking at.
The board fills in a moment later.
Check the orientation#
/utp board preview shows a test pattern: numbered squares and an arrow. The arrow must point up. The pattern stays up while you work. When you're done, /utp board refresh brings back the real content — the whole wall at once.
Adjust it in the administration#
In Rides → Edit → Boards, each board of the ride has its settings, saved as soon as you change them:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Colour | The board's colour — on a photo wall, the frame of its QR codes (the photos keep their own colours). Follow the instance uses your park's primary colour. |
| Places listed | Leaderboards: how many riders are listed, from the top 3 to the top 5 |
| QR column | Photo walls: a QR code on every row, or photos only |
Protect the frames#
The plugin doesn't stop players from taking the frames down: protect the wall with WorldGuard or your protection plugin, as you would any build. If a frame goes missing, /utp board list shows it (for example 11/12 frames).
Commands#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/utp board create leaderboard <ride> | Turns the frame you look at into a leaderboard |
/utp board create photos <ride> | Turns the rectangle of frames you look at into a photo wall |
/utp board list | Every board, with its number and frames |
/utp board preview [number] | Test pattern |
/utp board refresh [number] | Redraws the real content |
/utp board remove [number] | Removes the board (the frames stay, empty) |
Without a number, the commands act on the board you are looking at. They need the utp.command.board permission, and UTP Connect must be linked.
