Your resource pack
Send your park's resource pack to every player as they connect — no hosting, no hash to copy, no restart for a new version.
Updated 8 October 2026
If your park uses a resource pack — custom train models, signs, decor — your players need it, or your rides look broken. UTP Connect can hand it to every player as they connect: they get it before they walk into your park, and see your rides as you built them.
You don't need to host the pack anywhere, copy its hash into server.properties, or restart the server when it changes. You upload the .zip once, and that's it.
Set it up#
- In the administration, open Settings and find the Resource pack section.
- Under Your resource pack, choose your pack's
.zip. It's checked and saved straight away — the size appears in green. - In Send it to players, pick Offer it or Require it (see below).
- Press Save at the bottom of the page.
- Disconnect from your server and connect again: the game asks you about the pack.
The same pack is used for the on-ride photos: one upload serves both.
Offer it, or require it#
| Choice | What happens when a player says no |
|---|---|
| Don't send it | Nothing is sent. This is the default. |
| Offer it | They come in without the pack. Their game remembers the answer, and won't ask again on your server. |
| Require it | They can't come in: the game disconnects them. The next time they connect, it asks again. |
With Require it, the question tells the player that the pack is needed to play. Under it, they read a line from your park: "It gives the rides and scenery of (your park) their true look.", in their own language.
What your players see#
On Minecraft 26.2 and newer, the question comes on the loading screen, before the park appears. Once they accept, the pack downloads and applies there, and the park appears with your textures already in place.
On an older server — from 1.20.4 up to 26.1 — the game cannot be asked that early: the question comes just after the player appears in the park, and they see it without your textures for the few seconds the download takes. Everything else works the same way, Require it included.
The game keeps a copy. On their next visits, nothing is downloaded again — unless you've uploaded a new version since.
When a download fails#
A player whose download fails still comes in, even with Require it, and reads in the chat that the pack couldn't be loaded and that reconnecting will try again. A failure is never the player's fault, and it usually comes from your side: refusing them would close your park to every newcomer the day something goes wrong.
Your server's console says so too:
[UltimateThemePark] [pack] resource pack did not load, player let in without it (player=Alex, status=failed_download, url=https://connect.your-park.com/pack/1a2b….zip)
If you see this line for every player, open the address it gives in your browser: it should download your pack. See Troubleshooting.
Changing the pack#
Upload the new .zip in the same place. Players connecting from then on get the new version. Players already in the park keep the old one until they reconnect — nobody's screen freezes for a reload in the middle of a ride.
Good to know#
- Server operators are only ever offered the pack, even with Require it. That way whoever works on the pack can keep testing their own copy instead of the server's. To get the server's pack back after saying no once: in your server list, select your server, Edit, and set Server Resource Packs to Prompt.
- 250 MB at most. The game won't download a bigger pack. The administration warns you if yours is over the limit.
- Bedrock players (through Geyser) aren't sent the pack: their game can't use it.
- Your pack becomes public while it is sent, like any server's pack: anyone with its address can download it. With Don't send it, it stays private.
- The pack is downloaded from your UTP Connect. If it's offline, players who already have the pack keep it, and newcomers come in without it.
