Hidden zones and paths

Keep your backstage off the map, and draw the paths your guests are shown the way along.

Updated 30 October 2026

Hide a zone#

Your backstage, a show building before it opens, the staff room: choose Hide a zone in the editor's toolbar, click its corners one by one, then click the first corner again to close it.

Guests see the zone blurred and hatched, and nobody standing in it is drawn. The blur is in the map's picture itself, not laid over it: there is nothing for a curious guest to peek under. You see the zone as a dark shape over your map; drag its corners to reshape it, or click it to name it in the panel beside the map (Name, then Save) or delete it (Delete this zone).

A zone takes a few seconds to reach your guests' map.

Draw your paths#

Directions follow your paths, which you draw once. Choose Draw a path, click along the path, and click its last corner again (or press Enter) to finish.

  • A line drawn up to another path joins it: start or end it on a path, and the two meet there.
  • Two lines crossing without a corner in common don't meet: that's a bridge, or a tunnel.
  • Click a length of path to delete it, or a junction to move it or delete it.

Draw the paths guests walk, not every patch of ground: a path through a ride's queue, a shortcut through the backstage would send them where they can't go.

How guests get directions#

On a point's card, Directions draws the way from where the guest stands to the point's entrance, and redraws it as they walk, with the distance and the minutes it takes on foot. Once they get there, the directions stop by themselves. It needs Offer directions on (the Map page, card For your guests), and the guest in the park, on the map's world.
