Lands

Name the areas of your park — Adventureland, the Maya ruins — across the map, and list your points under them.

Updated 2 November 2026

A land is a named area of your park, as on a printed park plan: Adventureland, the Maya ruins, Wild West. Guests see its name written across it on the map, and the list of places under the map is sorted by land.

Draw a land#

On the Map page, choose Draw a land in the editor's toolbar, click its corners one by one, then click the first corner again to close it.

The land is added as Land 1, and the panel beside the map opens on it:

FieldWhat it does
NameWhat guests read across the map. Keep it short: a long name only shows once guests zoom in.
ColourThe colour of its outline and of its name. Each new land takes one no other land wears yet.

Click Save. To reshape a land, click it and drag its corners; it is saved as you drop them. Delete this land, at the bottom of the panel, takes it away — its points stay on the map.

What guests see#

  • Its name, across the land, where there is the most room — never outside it, even for an L-shaped land. The name grows as guests zoom in, goes onto two lines when one is too long, and is left out when the land is too small on their screen to hold it.
  • Its outline, dashed and faint, in its colour.
  • The places, sorted by land: under the map, each land's points come under its name, A to Z, and the points in no land last, under Elsewhere in the park. A point's card says its land beside its kind.

A point belongs to the land it stands in. When lands overlap — a village inside a larger area —, it belongs to the smaller one.
