Walkthroughs and games
Count your haunted houses, mazes and fairground games on the leaderboards, with a pressure plate at the exit.
Updated 2 November 2026
A haunted house, a maze, a fairground game has no train for Ultimate Theme Park to follow. To count it on your leaderboards and in your park's attendance like any ride, declare it as a ride, and let a command block at its exit count each guest.
1. Declare it as a ride#
In the administration, Rides → New ride. Give it its name, choose Flat ride as its type, and leave the rest empty: there is no station, no countdown and no gates to run. Click Create the ride, and note its number (#12), shown in the list.
It is now a ride like the others: you can open and close it, give it a leaderboard, and link it to a walkthrough or game point on the park map, which shows guests whether it is open.
2. Count each guest at the exit#
At the exit, under a pressure plate, place a command block with:
utp ride lap 12 @p
@p is the player nearest the command block: the one who just stepped on the plate. Each time, that guest gets a lap — on the leaderboards, in their own lap count, in your placeholders and webhooks, as for any ride.
Put the plate where guests only pass once the walkthrough is done — past the last scare, not at the entrance.
What is not counted#
- A guest twice in two minutes: a plate counts its guest once, however long they stand on it, and again only two minutes later. Nobody walks through a haunted house twice in two minutes.
- A closed ride: closed, under maintenance or out of order, whoever steps on the plate counts for nothing — your staff's tests included.
